About Us

Blurd - The No.1 Blur Tribute

Blur tribute band Blurd have been performing across the UK since 2006 and are the definitive tribute to one of Britain’s most recognisable musical exports of the last 30 years.

Their repertoire covers everything from the early singles such as the haunting ‘She’s So High’ and breakthrough ‘There’s No Other Way’, through the undeniable BritPop peak of ‘Country House’, ‘Girls & Boys’ and ‘Parklife’, to the majestic singalong ‘Tender’ and many more. After doing a double-take, at the end of the night people always leave with a smile on their face, a tune stuck in their head and blisters on their feet

The same instruments, clothes, quality and stage presence as the original make Blurd one of the leading tributes in the country, of any genre, and they are, as far as the Blur fan club is concerned, “Perfecto!”

It's all going Blurd...

Blurd is the UK's longest-running and most authentic tribute to Britpop legends Blur. Together since 2006, Blurd has performed as far afield as the Dublin Academy and the Isle of Wight Festival. The approach is simple; to sound like and look like Blur, and thousands of music lovers, festival-goers, and fans of Blur testify that they do just that!

The last few years have been manic for the band, headlining stages at the Isle of Wight Festival and London’s O2, appearing at festivals alongside acts such as The Farm, Inspiral Carpets, The Happy Mondays, Cast, Lightning Seeds, Primal Scream, The Charlatans and more, as well as frequenting many university events and being asked to appear in a BBC documentary and a film about the rise of Britpop!

Notable gigs in the 400+ they've played are: Santa Pod BugJam; The Isle of Wight Festival; TribFest; the legendary Scala in London; The Academy in Dublin; Newcastle's famous Cluny; ShiiineOn Weekender; The London O2; PennFest; Beano on The Sea and many more...
